Secret Level: Mega Man: START episode review.

Overview As a longtime fan of the Mega Man franchise, the only reason I heard of Secret Level was Mega Man. After getting my hopes up I was greeted with a 7- minute short that seems like a new episode comes out next week. Plot The plot is very simple. Dr. Light is running through his lab holding a tablet that is playing a news broadcast saying that his robots are out of control. Rock is working on something, and Dr. Light asks him to help him activate Bomb Man. Bomb Man Rock then says he could potentially fight against the robot masters (The name Metal Man is mentioned) And Light tells him that he made Rock to help in the lab. Then a small spider robot jumps from out of nowhere (Presumably one of Dr. Wilys) And hacks Bomb Man who then attacks Rock and Light. Rock is knocked to the ground and combines multiple lab tools to create an ice gun to freeze Bomb Man who then explodes. Rock saves Light and then rock is attacked by another spider robot and then for absolutely no reason he ...

SECRET LEVEL: Unreal Tournament: XAN Episode Review.

Pre-Opinion As someone who has never played Unreal Tournament (I was always a Quake guy.) This was still the coolest looking episode. Out of all the games in Secret Level I've only ever played Mega Man and DnD. But I went with UT first and I was not disappointed. Plot The episode begins with a Liandri corporation mining group booting up a Mech team. One green robot fails its startup process and must reboot. A nearby miner starts whacking the green robot with a wrench. This damages the robot and sort of unlocks his free will. Over time we see the green robot (Xan) Witness the Liandri corporation miners kill and damage the other robots. And Xan survives each workday. Until one day he decides to take action. Xan attacks the miner holding the controls for all the other robots and they fight back. The Arena of the Unreal Tournament. Xan and his mechanical allies destroy the mining outpost but are captured shortly after. We then see that Xan copied the robot control code and is able to...

Secret Level Needs to Succeed

Amazon's new animated gaming anthology series drops on December 10th. As a die-hard Mega Man fan, I cannot wait to see what they came up with. But there's another thing about secret level. If it does well and gets more people to play the games it features (Well... Besides Concord) Then more game companies will be interested in tv adaptations. Secret Level is interesting. It showcases 15 games. each game will have an episode. Some I know. (Mega Man, Unreal Tournament, Pac-Man) Others I've heard of (Warhammer 40k, Sifu) and some...are...interesting... (Concord) But after Fallout it seems like Prime is going all in on gaming. With Fallout season 2 on the way. A new Mass Effect series and a Madden documentary Prime seems like they want to reach gamers. And I REALLY want this to work. Why you ask? Before making this series, the creators made a number of gaming trailers for games such as BioShock Infinite and Batman Arkham City. But they also made a 4 season Netflix show called...
